The relation between acne and diet/food has always been a debate. Recent studies have shown a direct relation between diet and acne. It has proven that the American diet( high carbohydrates and refined sugar) are the causes of acne for many people. There are certain food that can seriously aggravate acne. Of course, there are other food that will be beneficial for acne treatment.
Some people have experience fantastic result for their acne skin care by switching their diet. Diet definitely is part of the acne linkage, but diet is not all. Diet is just one of those complex factors that can lead to acne. Different food tackles your acne source differently. Chromium can control hormonal balance, while vitamin A can help to promote tissue renewal.
It all depends on every individual whether he/she if they want to change their diet to treat acne. Certainly, a well planned diet would helped in acne treatment. Many of us finds it difficult to make a complete switch to eat food that will aid in acne treatment.
My point is that, you don’t have to force yourself to make a complete change over(though it will be better), but the minimal thing you could do is to reduce the intake of those food that can aggravate acne. There’s a limit for over-the-counter products to help in your acne treatment. I hope you at least make an effort to cut away those food that are acne-unfriendly if you ever wants to be acne free. My opinion is that a balanced acne-free diet plays a crucial factor in acne’s prevention, even more important than over the counters product used for acne’s prevention.
